How Does It Work? Cold Factor cooling towels work by using hyper-evaporative cooling technology to create their cooling effect. The towel acts like a sponge, absorbing 10X its weight in water when fully saturated. The addition of water to the towel, as well as airflow, is what activates the technology. After saturating in water (water of any temperature will work), we suggest giving the towel a few shakes to increase air exposure and kick-start the cooling.

How Long Does the Cooling Last? Once activated, the towel will stay cool for up to 5 hours. Total cooling duration will depend on various variables, with the most important factor being the amount of water in the towel. In a very dry climate, the towel will dry out faster than in a humid environment. As the towel starts to dry out and becomes stiff, simply rewet it to quickly reactivate.
